TSINGOAL Sponsored Tsinghua University's Climbing Team and Successfully Climbed the 6282m Mount Anima

In June 2019, the Tsinghua University Mountaineering Team organization, Tsinghua Alumni Enterprise Tsinghua University Information Technology (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. and the Tsinghua University Youth League Committee signed a cooperation agreement on title sponsorship of Tsinghua University 2019 mountaineering activities to support Tsinghua University mountaineering teams in summer Nima Qingshan event, celebrating the 70th anniversary of National Day.

At 6: 03am on July 22, 2019, the Tsinghua University Tsinghua University climbing team successfully ascended the main peak of Animaqing, Qinghai at 6,282 meters above sea level.

Animaqing is one of the four great mountains of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located in Dawu Town, Maqin County, Goluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the southeast of Qinghai Province. It is the highest peak at the source of the Yellow River. The main peak Maqing Gangri consists of 3 peaks above 6000 meters above sea level, with the highest altitude of 6282 meters. Animaqing Mountain is a huge mountain with complete glaciers, complex terrain, and variable climate. It is a technical peak with certain climbing difficulties.

On July 5, the former team of the mountaineering team set off from Beijing. On July 8th, a large force of the mountaineering team set off from Beijing to Dawu Town. On July 11, the team entered the mountain to establish the base camp BC (4400 meters above sea level). This climb chose the new route of the Southwest Wall opened by the Chengdu Freedom Top Team in 2018. There are many gravel sections, a strong sense of exposure, a long technical climbing route, and higher requirements for the team's physical and technical capabilities.

On July 18, the team transported supplies and established Alpine Camp C1 (5100 meters above sea level). On July 20, three coaches Tong Haijun, Wang Shulin, Jin Wenhui and teammate Xie Changyi repaired the route from C1 to Alpine Camp C2 (5700 meters above sea level), and the team reached C2 the next day.

At 2:30 in the morning on July 22, eight players and two coaches set off from the C2 camp, successfully ascended the summit at 6: 3 am, and on the same day the team safely withdrew back to Dawu Town.

This year's Tsinghua University Student Mountaineering Team was sponsored by the alumni company Tsinghua University. The team was formed in mid-May. The team consisted of core members who participated in the summer comprehensive training of Tsinghua University Student Mountain Association. The mountaineering team carried out a five-week physical training and technical training, and the team members independently completed all the preparations.

The teammates who reached the top with the coaches of the team are: Yang Jiaran (Graduate Captain), a 2018 master student in the Department of Automation, Zhang Jinwen (captain climbing), a 2017 master student in the Department of Information Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts, Xie Changyi, a 2014 doctoral student in the School of the Environment, and 2014 Fang Lin, a PhD student, Han Chunli, a 2016 master student in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Zhang Yuke, a 2018 postdoctoral student in the School of the Environment, Zhao Yumeng, a 2018 PhD student in the Department of Engineering, and Wang Yingjian, a 2018 master student in the School of Law.
